The Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, Walailak University, is promoting a culture of learning and the effective use of information resources by presenting “Outstanding Library User” awards at the 2026 Wai Khru Ceremony, honoring students with a genuine passion for learning who help foster a reading culture on campus. The awardees were recognized as “Outstanding Library Users” for the 2026 academic year during the Wai Khru Ceremony held at the Main Auditorium, Thai Buri Building, Walailak University, on August 6, 2026. Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, presided over the ceremony and presented the certificates of honor. This year, two students achieved outstanding usage records:

1. Mr. Nichaphong Saeng-arun, School of Political Science and Public Administration Winner of the “Highest Book Borrowing of the Year” award, claiming the title of top reader with a total of 256 books borrowed throughout the academic year — reflecting a strong commitment to research and making the most of information resources.

2. Mr. Muhammadasri Samae, School of Allied Health Sciences Winner of the “Highest Library Visits of the Year” award, claiming the title of the library’s biggest fan with a total of 155 check-ins to the library and a combined total of 558 hours and 21 minutes spent studying, reviewing coursework, and engaging in academic activities within the library.

The Center for Library Resources and Educational Media thanks the above students for setting a great example in making the most of the university’s learning resources, and hopes their achievements will inspire fellow students to continue pursuing research and making full, meaningful use of the library’s Learning Spaces.

This year’s Wai Khru Ceremony and awards presentation reaffirm Walailak University’s commitment to nurturing students who embody gratitude and well-rounded excellence — academically, in life skills, and in ethics and morality — so they may graduate as quality graduates and become key contributors to the nation’s development.
