Full Support, Full Hearts! Library Center Serves Up “Khanom Lomod” to Support WU Students During Final Exam Cram Sessions (Semester 2/2025)

The Learning Promotion and Educational Services Division, Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, Walailak University, achieved great success with its “Reading Promotion and Review Activity to Prepare for Final Exams, Semester 2/2025” — affectionately known among students as the “Khanom Lomod” (“Snack Bribery”) activity — held on February 26–27, 2026, at the Temporary Library, Architecture and Design Practice Building.

The activity was born out of the care and concern of the university’s executives and staff, who wanted to help students stay focused and energized during long study sessions before exams. Executives, staff, and business operators joined forces to fund food and beverages, providing over 200 quality snack and drink sets per day for students using the library in the evening, from 7:00 PM onward.

Over the two days of the event, a total of 360 students registered to participate — 165 students on February 26 and 195 students on February 27. The top three schools by participation were the School of Management (55 students), the School of Accountancy and Finance (33 students), and the School of Nursing (31 students), with participants ranging from first-year to fourth-year students, reflecting the activity’s broad appeal across all student levels. Overall satisfaction reached as high as 98.76%.

A satisfaction survey of 292 participants found an overall satisfaction score of 4.93 out of 5 (98.76%), with the highest-rated aspects being the suitability of the venue and timing, along with the overall organization of the event (4.95 points).

Some feedback from students:

  • “It’s such a great activity, I really love it. I’d love for this to be held every semester.”
  • “I wish it could be extended to three days. The snacks were delicious, especially the pandan tea!”
  • “It really helped me keep studying for longer.”

Toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The “Khanom Lomod” activity not only brought smiles and full stomachs, but also contributed to the university’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Quality Education and Good Health and Well-being — while also strengthening the positive relationship and image between the library and students.

The Center for Library Resources and Educational Media would like to thank all supporters who helped make this activity a success, and wishes all students the best of luck on their final exams!
