Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

   The library provides free services for those not studying at the university to access the library resources to support their lifelong learning. The library provides learning space, information resources, computers or other equipment.

    In case that they want to borrow information resources, they must apply for an annual subscription as the university announcement before borrowing information resources from the library. (Announcement of Walailak University regarding service fees, and fines for the Library and Educational Media Center, B.E. 2555)

     For those who are disadvantaged or handicapped, in addition to free access to the library, the library also supports them by the basic needs that facilitate access to the library, including lanes for wheelchairs and Braille books, etc.

      In addition, the library also has activities in the part of CSR (corporate social responsibility) or social responsibility in organizing the library system for school libraries in Nakhon Si Thammarat and important temples of the province to encourage everyone to have lifelong learning. And the library operates a green library policy to learn about the conservation and sustainable development of the environment.

     The library also organizes a library system for Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan School to be the center of Buddhist knowledge to serve the general public can come and study Buddhism from a variety of books and can borrow it home (Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan Library)

     There are also community activities for people around the university under Corporate Social Responsibility of Green Library Project: a project for the community and environmental conservation of learning to promote cooperation to build social responsibility. The development of green libraries for learning and conservation project: environment activities conducted to develop cooperation between schools and the library to establish the cooperation and encourage social responsibility. For Green Library for Learning and Environmental Conservation Project, there is a training process to educate about green libraries for teachers in charge of school libraries and students at school locations by providing a knowledge base on waste reduction and separation, energy-saving and renewable energy, green environment knowledge, eco-footprint and DIY activities, etc. There were 15 secondary schools in Nakhon Si Thammarat province that participate in the project.
