The Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, Walailak University, demonstrated its capacity for world-class learning management by co-hosting an activity with the School of Informatics to welcome a delegation of 11 exchange students from Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT), Uzbekistan. The event focused on sharing “Green Digital Innovation” alongside creative digital-age library user experiences.

The event was held at the Architecture and Design Practice Building. In the morning session, Dr. Kanitson Suriyapaiboonwattana, Deputy Director of the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, delivered welcoming remarks and joined faculty members from the School of Informatics as a guest speaker on the topic of “System & Innovation Design,” presenting the Walai AutoLib system — an internationally standardized library management innovation. The session also included an Innovation Sprint activity, giving the exchange students the opportunity to brainstorm and design future library innovations using AI technology, coordinated by the Center for International Affairs (CIA).

In the afternoon session, the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media — as the primary unit responsible for space management and learning services — led by Mr. Preecha Rassamee, Librarian and Head of the Learning Promotion and Educational Services Division, along with his team, shared knowledge on modern library management. A highlight activity that drew strong interest was the “Learning Space Experience,” in which the delegation toured the Gaming Zone, a learning-promotion space that serves as a model for participatory service, featuring over 70 board games and strategic skill-building games designed to promote effective learning outside the classroom.

The session also introduced two free AI Tools — Gemini Pro and Perplexity Pro — supporting up to 3 simultaneous users, which help make report writing, data summarization, and presentation preparation faster and more convenient.

Following this, Dr. Kanitson Suriyapaiboonwattana continued sharing knowledge on the topic of “User Experience (UX) Analysis” through a game-based user-behavior analysis activity, helping the visiting delegation gain a deeper understanding of service design processes that respond to real user needs in an international context.

Hosting this event marks another important milestone reflecting the readiness of the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, Walailak University, to become a modern learning hub with international standards, ready to welcome students, researchers, and academic networks from around the world.
