On July 14, 2026, the Center for Library and Educational Media, Walailak University, welcomed 68 teachers and first-year Vocational Certificate (Voc.1) students in Business Computer Technology from Nakhon Si Thammarat Vocational College at the Temporary Library, Architecture and Design Building.
The visit was organized as part of the college’s educational study visit program, which aims to enhance students’ professional experiences and develop their potential through hands-on learning. The program focuses on providing students with real-world exposure to technology, innovation, and digital-era management practices.
During the visit, Mr. Suwat Koetmanee, Librarian from the Learning Promotion and Educational Services Division, served as the tour guide and introduced the students to various services provided by the Center for Library and Educational Media.
He also demonstrated the university’s smart library management systems, information technologies, and modern information-search and discovery innovations. These technologies are particularly relevant to the students’ Business Computer studies, allowing them to see firsthand how technology can be applied to modern library operations and potentially build upon this knowledge in their future studies and careers.
A Crowd-Pleasing Highlight: The Game Zone
The study visit was lively and friendly, with students showing great enthusiasm throughout the tour.
One of the biggest highlights was the Game Zone, an innovative learning and recreational space designed by the Center for Library and Educational Media to reflect the lifestyle and interests of today’s younger generation.
By combining entertainment with opportunities to develop technology-related skills, the Game Zone allowed students to experience various equipment and systems available at the library. The hands-on experience generated excitement, curiosity, and plenty of memorable moments among the visiting students.

The visit provided students with more than just an introduction to modern library technologies and innovations. It also offered them a new perspective on what a library can be in the digital age.
Today’s library is no longer simply a place to read and borrow books. It has evolved into a Smart Space—a dynamic learning environment that supports education, creativity, collaboration, technology, and student life in all its dimensions.
