Library Hosts Lively Welcome Activity for New Semester — Students Join Enthusiastically and Receive Souvenirs
The beginning of the new semester at Walailak University was exceptionally lively, as The Center for Library Resources and Educational Media organized a warm welcome activity for both new and returning students. Students who visited the temporary library, located in the main hall on the 1st floor of the Architecture and Design Building—across from the Sabai Co–Working Space—were gifted special souvenirs upon checking in.
The purpose of this event was to encourage students to make greater use of the library, an important learning resource, while also introducing them to the various services offered by the Center, which support their academic journey throughout their time at Walailak University.
A key highlight of the activity was inviting students to scan a QR code to add the Center’s official LINE account. This ensures students stay up–to–date with the latest news and activities, check their borrowing and returning history, and receive various notifications conveniently. This feature attracted considerable interest from the student body.
On June 16, 2025, a total of the first 50 students joined the activity and received souvenirs. Their participation, categorized by School, is as follows:
- School of Allied Health Sciences: 13 students
- School of Medicine: 8 students
- School of Pharmacy: 5 students
- School of Management: 3 students
- School of Accountancy and Finance: 5 students
- School of Science: 4 students
- School of Education: 1 student
- School of Liberal Arts: 1 student
- School of Nursing: 6 students
- School of Informatics: 1 student
- School of Law: 1 student
- School of Political Science and Public Administration: 1 student
- School of Agricultural Technology and Industry: 1 student
According to the statistics, the highest number of participants came from the School of Allied Health Sciences, reflecting their strong awareness of the importance of accessing knowledge resources to support their studies.
The Center for Library Resources and Educational Media would like to thank all students who participated in this activity. We sincerely hope that students will continue to benefit from the wide range of services offered—whether it’s our new board games section, AI–powered search tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini, or simply using our spaces for relaxing between classes, group work, or discussions.
The library is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, and Saturday–Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and is closed on public holidays.
