The 41st Thailand University Staff Games, known as the “Tum-Pang Games,” officially commenced and are being held from May 3–10, 2025, at Walailak University, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.
The name of the event, “Tum-Pang,” is derived from the ancient archaeological site located within the Walailak University campus. Estimated to date back to the 12th–13th Buddhist centuries, the site stands as a historical testament to the prosperity of ancient civilizations in the region. Using the name as a symbol of the competition reflects a sense of pride in the area’s cultural heritage and a strong commitment to preserving and promoting this invaluable legacy for the future.
This year, the event features 17 sports disciplines, including athletics, golf, sepak takraw, hoop takraw, tennis, table tennis, billiards/snooker, badminton, pétanque, futsal, football, dance sport, volleyball, swimming, e-sports, aerobics, and woodball (a demonstration sport).
Personnel from the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media contributed by managing audiovisual equipment during the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as capturing still photography of the competition atmosphere at the central Tum-Pang stadium and other various sports venues throughout the event.
