"This school break, pack your favorite books and head home!"
The Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, through the Learning Promotion and Educational Services Division, organized a fun reading promotion activity during the semester break under the name “This School Break, Pack Your Favorite Books and Head Home!” The event took place from February 24 to March 7, 2025, at the temporary library space located in the central hall of the Architecture and Design Operations Building, Walailak University.
This activity gave undergraduate students of Walailak University—who had no outstanding library obligations—the opportunity to borrow books and take them home to enjoy during the break. All books are due back by June 27, 2025. Please note that renewals are not allowed, and late returns are subject to a fine of 5 Baht per book per day.The purpose of the event was to encourage students to value reading, enhance their critical thinking skills, support self-directed learning, promote the effective use of information resources, and build stronger connections between library users and staff.
From feedback collected from 36 participants, the activity received an impressive 99% overall satisfaction rate, especially in terms of service quality and the loan period, both of which earned a perfect score of 5.00. One suggestion for improvement was to add more books related to veterinary science in future events.
