The Center for Library resources and Educational Media Conducts Training on "Using ChatGPT with Awareness”
On February 5, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, the Information Resource Development Division of the Library and Educational Media Center organized a training session titled “Using ChatGPT with Awareness.” The training was led by Dr. Kanitsorn Suriyapaiboonwattana, a faculty member at the Information Science Department, held in Computer Lab 2 on the second floor of the Digital Technology Center. A total of 42 staff members expressed interest and registered for the training, including personnel from the Library Center and other departments.
The purpose of this training session was to enhance basic skills in using ChatGPT, covering fundamental knowledge and the capabilities of AI, the importance of using AI, and the power of AI in data analysis. It included various types of usage, different levels of prompt engineering techniques, and concluded with discussions on ethics in AI usage and related challenges.
The instructor emphasized the use of ChatGPT, an OpenAI product, in the form of a chatbot that is powerful and available for free. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate after providing feedback on their satisfaction. The Library Center plans to conduct four more training sessions each month.
