Open Access หรือเรียกกันสั้น ๆ ว่า OA คือสารสนเทศอันเป็นผลงานวิชาการในรูปแบบต่าง ๆ ทั้ง บทความวารสาร รายงานการวิจัย วิทยานิพนธ์ รายงานการประชุม ผู้ใช้สามารถสืบค้นและใช้งานได้ฟรีไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย ผ่านเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ต (ลักษณา เถาว์ทิพย์, 2553)
และมหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ ได้ผลิตวารสารวิชาการในลักษณะของ Open Access ที่มีคุณภาพและได้รับการจัดอันดับในฐานข้อมูลทั้งในระดับประเทศและต่างประเทศ ครอบคลุมทั้งสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี วิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ สังคมศาสตร์ มนุษยศาสตร์ ศิลปะ วัฒนธรรม และการผลิตวารสารสายงานวิจัยจากงานประจำ ซึ่งมีทั้งหมด 5 รายชื่อดังนี้

The journal was launched in 2026, reflecting Walailak University’s commitment to advancing research and scientific dialogue on both national and international scales. Since its inception Trends in Energy Materials has been dedicated to publishing high-quality research papers in materials and technologies, including but not limited to Energy storage, Energy conversion, Catalysis for energy processes, Carbon-based materials, Emerging and advanced materials, and Sustainability, circular materials, and lifecycle assessment of energy materials.
