\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 On July 8\u20139, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Siwanat Nantapichai, Director; Mrs. Kasemapon Tanboonyakit, Acting Head of General Administration; and Ms. Narisa Buachoei, Acting Head of Learning Support and Educational Media Services of the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media, Walailak University, participated in the 37th Seminar on Cooperation among Higher Education Institution Libraries<\/strong>, under the theme \u201cInnovative and Transformative Library Spaces: Empowering Skills for Future Libraries\u201d<\/em>, held at Nakhon Phanom University, Nakhon Phanom Province.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The event was co-hosted by the Office of Academic Resources, Nakhon Phanom University, led by Mrs. Rungreung Songkroh, Director of the Office. The seminar served as a platform for knowledge exchange on innovation, information technology, and the professional development of librarians to meet the challenges of the digital era. The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Prama Sastraruji, Director of the Office of Information Technology Administration for Educational Development (UniNet), Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, at Wachirapobit Auditorium, Nakhon Phanom University (Marukhanakhon Campus), Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom Province. During the opening ceremony, Professor Dr. Surasit Wachirakachorn, Vice President for Human Resources Administration, delivered the purpose of the seminar. Acting Sub-Lieutenant Ruairung Kraibut, Deputy Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province, warmly welcomed all participants. The event brought together over 400 executives, librarians, information specialists, and library staff from 130 higher education institutions across the country.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Associate Professor Dr. Prama Sastraruji emphasized the vital role of the ThaiLIS Project<\/strong>, a nationwide collaborative library network aimed at interconnecting information resources, databases, and services to promote efficient resource sharing. He underscored the growing influence of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI), which continue to reshape library management, services, and user behavior. UniNet remains committed to supporting academic libraries through advanced technological infrastructure, electronic databases, and modern services to enhance their capabilities and competitiveness in a sustainable manner.\u00a0 Professor Dr. Surasit Wachirakachorn added that today\u2019s libraries face numerous challenges, including evolving user behaviors, rapid technological advancements, and overwhelming data volumes. This necessitates the continuous development of digital skills among library staff. This seminar, therefore, served as a critical opportunity to co-create innovations and new services that add value and help Thai libraries effectively meet user needs while moving toward international standards.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Moreover, the 37th seminar also aimed to strengthen the collaborative network among academic libraries, promoting resource sharing<\/strong>, especially by enabling smaller libraries to access up-to-date databases and technologies, while medium and large libraries can expand their user bases and maximize the value of their existing resources. This collaborative model is expected to elevate the Thai library system to effectively adapt and grow alongside the evolving learning ecosystem of the modern age.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
